They drove for hours making sure noone was following them, they stopped at Sleepy Oak Cabins in Oak Ridge.   Ronan, a Red Dragon shifter who'd came to Oak Ridge to get away from the violence of his upbringing. He never intended to stay, two years later and he was still there. He bought a cabin in the woods to keep people away from him and then he took over helping Rita and Luis (an elderly couple) with their complex.
  
  Sleepy Oak Cabins was a place where people wanted to go to get away from the city life. Katie met Ronan and she was very intrigued by him. He knew that she was in some kind of trouble so he took it upon himself to make sure she and Noah were safe. Ronan and Katie were mates, finding that out was a great joy for them both.
  
  When Katie's ex tracked her down, Ronan wanted to take care of the threat on his own. But she wasn't having any of it, she and Lachlan let him know that the entire town had his back, no matter what.
  
  When all was said and done, Noah, Katie and Ronan got their HEA.

  💢Oooooo the start of a really good series. I'm in love.....sometimes a Dad isn't a dad, but a man who has no blood ties is a DADDY.
  
  🔹️Katie Miller is a human, who hocks everything worth anything and takes her six month old son Noah and runs. Her ex the Charming Debonair Victor not only took everything from her, he showed her his true colors and a world she never knew existed. After she got pregnant things changed in BIG way. Not wanting her son to be raised in this kind of environment Katie sneaks off with little money and no where to go. She stopped at-Sleepy Oak Cabins nestled in the back woods by a little town called Oak Ridge. On that very same day she literally runs into this attractive huge hunk who takes her breath away. Berarading herself for her sexual fantasies she heads back to her cabin. Trying to figure out where to go next, her fantasy comes looking for her.
  
  🔹️ Ronan Reinhardt is a Dragon Shifter who has left his family years ago, he didn't like all there games and violence. He was tired of fighting he wanted peace and solitude all by himself in his cabin helping people every once in a while in the town of Oak Ridge never getting close to no one. Years went by and everything was fine until this little redhead with a baby drops by.

• I love this new book in a brand new series by one of my favorite authors. All of these characters are so relatable. You could drive to any small town USA and find them, well except this is a small town of shifters. That’s right a brand new town of mostly dragons, but they have the same issues and concerns as all of us. As each character enters you feel that need to know their story. But this tale is about the red dragon, the new girl in town and her son. Who doesn’t love a hot guy with a tortured soul? Add in an adorable baby boy and I was hooked. The author did a fantastic job with this story and the slow path to HEA. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
• 440 am I couldn't stop reading until I finished it. Looking forward to more Oak Ridge stories Flynn, Lachlan, Santos, Reid, Malachi & Hayley's stories. And, of course, how things are with Ronan, Katie and baby Noah. Like a little dragonling sister or brother in one of the future books!! Thanks for another enjoyable story.
• This introduction story brings Katie and her baby Noah to a new town as they run from the bully that is Noah’s sperm donor. Ronan is hiding from his past as he does not want to be like the other red dragons. When Rowan meets Katie and Noah, he realizes that maybe there are things worth fighting for, and that the town that he protects also protects those that are family.
• I'm looking forward to your new series! This started out great. I love a sensitive and yet strong male man as the lead character. A woman that is ready to believe again rounds off this story. An especially a happy ending is great! Thank you
• Katie is basically the single mother to Noah. She runs from his shifter father and ends up in a town full of shifters, one being Ronan and things get hot and heavy quickly as well as dangerous when Katie’s Ex shows up. 5✨‘s

Sarah T. Roberts, an award-winning social media scholar, offers the first extensive ethnographic study of the commercial content moderation industry. • If you liked Cheryl Strayed's book "Wild" you'll love this story! Almost makes me want to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. I visited many of the places in the book on our RV road trip so reading how this couple became totally immersed in the wilderness makes me respect how difficult but inspiring their adventure must have been. Loved it!
• I really enjoyed this story, and not just because I know the protagonists personally. As a fellow outdoor enthusiast, I've spent many days hiking portions of the Pacific Crest Trail, some of them in the company of Mike and Margo (though not on this occasion). The book resonated strongly with me because it captures the essence of their journey without getting overwhelmed by the endless details accompanying such an undertaking. I also like that it's not just a diary/journal rehashing, as many other PCT accounts turn out. Mike does a great job letting the dialog and descriptions flow to poignant insights about the challenges faced and rewards gained, by himself individually as well as alongside his better half. It was a joy to rediscover my friends through this short book that is "deep" enough to make us all yearn for a taste of life on the trail - away from the madding crowds.
• As a person who got about 400 miles on a failed attempt at hiking the PCT, I found that part of the book very reflective of my experience and well written except total omission of the Deep Creek hot springs for a hiker needing a hot tub seemed strange. I would also liked to have learned more about the equipment, food, techniques and such. Except for tortillas and peanut butter for lunch , and assault the Sierra passes early AM, there is little insight here as to how they did it. But it is a great story about a married couple sharing a fabulous experience ... and that's what great relationships are all about.
• This is an extremely readable book. The narrative flows smoothly and effortlessly and you just want to keep reading to see how things turn out. In some sections there was an obstacle that wasn't resolved for the reader but that didn't hamper the enjoyment of the book. It's nice to vicariously live through the adventures of others. This was a trip well worth taking...for participants and reader alike.
• This book is a far cry from other trail books on couples like "Mile 445" or "A Long Way From No Where" but it a nice, short read. You won't find much in the way of romance or drama between the couple. In fact, much of their personal life is left out of the book. I think the biggest thing that happened in the entire hike is the author having to get an infected boil on his back dealt with. I'm not sure the story is worthy of a book but it's still a good insight into what you can expect on the PCT.
• I enjoyed this ALOT - interesting along the way regarding landscape, climate, etc. - meeting others along the way - how they
  received mail, food - found new friends. Always in good spirits - never complaining. Considering
  their age, I was very impressed with their fortitude. Some printing errors in book, but guess he
  published it himself - and it didn't really matter.
• I have read several books on the PCT Trail and also many on the Appalachian Trail. This one was the least exciting and really did not give one a feel for exactly how a typical day unfolded on such a hike. It sort of glossed over everything and made it sound quite easy, whereas I know it is not.
• This is not the kind of book I would usually read. It's not necessarily a subject matter that I seek out, but I found it very enjoyable and easy to read. I had planned on using it as light reading in my down time but found myself not wanting to put it down and making down time so I could finish it. A fun adventure that makes me want to abandon real life and feel the peace that was described very well. So glad I read this.
